Inspiration and getting out there

When I'm working with bog oak, there is no predetermined design in mind. The beauty of the material lies in its natural form, and the design process unfolds organically as I work with the wood. It is a journey of exploration and creativity, allowing the unique characteristics of each piece of bog oak to guide the creation of a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery. No piece is the same. Some pieces are similar as they have been created in the same timeframe or from the same piece of wood. 

This November and December, I am excited to showcase my bog oak jewellery at a couple of low key markets in the Athenry area. It is a wonderful opportunity to share the beauty and inspiration that bog oak brings to my work with you. I look forward to connecting with fellow art enthusiasts and sharing the story behind the work.
